Terms of Service

1. Introduction

Welcome to BookMe. By creating an account or using the BookMe platform (“Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and BookMe.

2. The Service

BookMe provides a scheduling and booking platform for independent beauty and body art professionals (“Owners”) and the customers who book appointments through their pages (“Customers”). BookMe facilitates bookings but is not a party to any appointment or transaction between Owners and Customers.

3. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an Owner account.
  • You must provide accurate and complete registration information.
  • One account per person. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure.
  • BookMe is currently intended for use by professionals based in the UK, EU, and other territories where the Service is available.

4. Owner responsibilities

  • You are solely responsible for all content on your booking page, including service descriptions, pricing, photos, and policies.
  • You must honour bookings you have confirmed unless a genuine cancellation reason exists.
  • You are responsible for collecting any deposits from customers. BookMe does not process payments — deposit instructions and bank details are provided to customers through the platform but funds are transferred directly to you.
  • You must comply with all applicable laws regarding data protection, consumer rights, and the provision of beauty/body art services in your jurisdiction.
  • You must not use the platform to conduct illegal activity, spam customers, or impersonate another individual or business.

5. Customer bookings

  • Bookings are initially created as “pending” and expire after 10 minutes if not confirmed by the Owner.
  • Customers are responsible for providing accurate contact details.
  • Cancel and reschedule links embedded in confirmation emails are single-use and expire after 7 days.
  • Deposit and refund terms are set by the individual Owner, not by BookMe. Any payment disputes are between the Customer and the Owner.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other accounts or systems
  • Upload malicious code, viruses, or any harmful content
  • Scrape, harvest, or extract data from the platform in an automated manner
  • Use the Service to send unsolicited commercial communications
  • Misrepresent your identity or qualifications as a beauty/body art professional

7. Intellectual property

BookMe and its logos, design, and underlying technology are owned by BookMe and protected by intellectual property law. You retain ownership of content you upload (photos, service descriptions, etc.) and grant BookMe a limited licence to display it on your booking page and in promotional materials with your consent.

8. Pricing and Free tier

The core BookMe plan is free. We reserve the right to introduce paid Pro features in the future, with at least 30 days' notice to existing users before any change affects their account. We will never retroactively charge for features that were free at the time you used them.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. BookMe does not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that the Service will be error-free.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BookMe shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to lost revenue, missed appointments, or data loss. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the fees paid by you to BookMe in the 12 months preceding the claim (or £50 if you are on the free plan).

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless BookMe and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your settings page. BookMe may suspend or terminate your account for material breach of these Terms, with or without notice depending on severity. On termination, your booking page will be taken offline and your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered Owners via email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country provide otherwise.
